Yesterday saw the welcome release of A Manifesto to Strengthen Families - Policies for a Conservative Government to strengthen families. This document has been put together by some of my colleagues in the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and I am pleased to be one of those supporting the policy proposals including within it.
With 18 key policy ideas, the document is calling on the Government to strengthen family life as part of its social reform agenda. As the introduction so eloquently puts it, 'The evidence is clear that stronger families are vital if the Government is to achieve its welcome aims to increase social mobility, deliver social justice, and make Britain a country that works for everyone, not just the privileged few.'
Do take a look at the ideas in this important paper.
